Lamborghini & Design: A Tribute To Le Corbusier For The First Concorso D'Eleganza
Neuchâtel and La Chaux-de-Fonds Switzerland
With the opening of the Polo Storico, the special company division in Sant’Agata dealing with the certification and restoration of Lamborghini collector’s models, Lamborghini is launching its Concorso d'Eleganza program, annually celebrating leading personalities in the world of architecture and design. The first elegance contest will be held on September 15-17 in Neuchâtel and La Chaux-de-Fonds, the birthplace of Le Corbusier, who is widely considered as the true master of 20th century architecture and design.
Cars admitted to the contest are Lamborghini models manufactured from 1963 to 1999, grouped into uniform categories: from the 12-cylinder front engine models to the Miura and Countach, and from the LM002 to the more recent Diablo. There will be an extra category for special models built from 2000 on, from the Veneno to the Sesto Elemento, through to the Centenario. Vehicles built under the Ad Personam program will also be admitted to this category as they are unique models.
Finally, Lamborghini customers whose models are not eligible to compete under the year of manufacture or uniqueness admission requirements, will be able to take part in the special “Best of Public” ranking created through the votes cast by spectators attending the event. The actual contest will take place on Sunday, September 17 in Neuchâtel, while on Saturday, contestants with vintage cars and special models will be able to take part in the Tour du Charme et du Design from Neuchâtel to La Chaux-de-Fonds, visiting the two houses designed by Le Corbusier and the Clock Museum.
