Lamborghini celebrates the opening of its new Lounge Tokyo by unveiling a special Aventador S and capsule collection created by fashion icon Yohji Yamamoto.
After New York, Tokyo is the second world destination to be graced with a Lamborghini Lounge. Located in the high-class residential area of Roppongi, this exclusive 3-floor structure offers a gateway to the world of Lamborghini with event spaces, meeting places for customers and VIPs, and an Ad Personam studio where owners can customise every detail of their supercar’s interior and exterior.
To mark the opening of this important new center, Lamborghini has staged a unique event. A worldwide preview of its new special-edition Aventador S and the launch of a garment capsule collection, both designed by Japanese fashion guru, Yohji Yamamoto.
The supercar was the brainchild of Mitja Borkert, the Lamborghini Head of Design, who was so impressed by the powerful red and black contrasts he saw on a Paris catwalk that he asked their creator, Yamamoto, to help him create a designer edition Lamborghini. The result is this Aventador S that flaunts typical Yamamoto colours and the same bold patterns that appear in the mod coat, bomber jacket and hoodie featured in the capsule collection.
Lamborghini and Yamamoto may come from different sectors and cultures, but the two brands worked together perfectly thanks to their shared love for distinctive style and design excellence. As Yamomoto says:
“With their inimitable design, Lamborghini super sports cars are instantly recognizable. I am therefore delighted to see the realization of this collaboration, highlighting the uniqueness, the timelessness, and the abundant passion, which are characteristic of both our brands.”
So, a new lounge, a new supercar edition and a new garment collection, all unveiled together in an event as distinctively exclusive as every Lamborghini.
