Lamborghini is racing through 2019, faster than ever before! In the first six months of the year, the worldwide sales of Urus, Aventador and Huracán recorded a 96% increase over the same period of 2018, with 4,554 cars delivered to their owners. This spectacular growth was driven by the success of the Super SUV along with a substantial contribution of the super sports cars.
The first half of this year exceeded the total sales of the entire year of 2017. Stefano Domenicali, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini, commented: “Lamborghini is once again confirmed to be in excellent condition. The achievement of a new absolute record for the fifth consecutive semester is a testament to the value of our brand, our product, and our commercial strategy.” He continued: “And all this was possible thanks to our team, who I would like to thank for the passion, dedication, and skill that they invest in their work every day.”
In the first half of 2019, 2,693 units of Urus were delivered, along with 1,211 Huracáns and 649 Aventadors thanks to the two versions of the SVJ. The United States is confirmed as the top market, followed by Greater China, United Kingdom, Japan and Germany. There was strong growth on the American continent with an increase of 128%, followed by Asia-Pacific, which doubled its sales, and Europe with a 67% increase.
Excellent prospects for the future of the company thanks to the investment plan developed. The development of the new production sites at the Sant’Agata headquarters is now completed, the last step being the inauguration of the new Urus paint shop, where the combination of manual craftsmanship and robotization will make it possible not only to personalize the car, but also to create new color variants for the liveries of the new Urus SUVs.
